Lockdown ("we", "our", or "the app") is designed to be a strict focus-enforcement tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.
All data generated by the app (focus session history, allowed apps lists, and custom commitment phrases) is stored exclusively on your device's local internal storage (SQLite database and DataStore). We have no servers, no analytics, and no ads.
Why we request it: Lockdown uses the Accessibility Service strictly to detect when you open a specific app so it can immediately return you to the home screen if that app is blocked during a focus session.
What it does NOT do: Lockdown does NOT read screen content, log keystrokes, read passwords, view text fields, or observe any UI interactions. Our configuration explicitly disables window content retrieval.
Why we request it: Lockdown requests this permission solely to calculate your total screen time and display which apps you use the most on the "Screen Time Audit" screen. This is used to help you understand your habits before starting a session.
What it does NOT do: This data is processed locally on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.
Why we request it: To display a persistent notification while a focus session is active, showing the remaining time and allowing quick access to allowed apps. This is required to keep the focus service running in the background on modern Android versions.
Lockdown does not knowingly collect information from children. Because we collect zero data, there is no risk to minors using the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
